How works

How a round is decided, where the fees go, what happens when a position wins, loses or never gets placed, and what can go wrong.

Overview

A rope between buyers and sellers

is a coin on pump.fun with a rope in the middle. Every trade counts, whether it was made on pump.fun, in fomo or in any other app, because they all trade in the same pump.fun market. Every 5 minutes the SOL that bought the coin is weighed against the SOL that sold it. Buys pull UP, sells pull DOWN. The side that pulled harder is bought by a keeper in the running Solana 15m Up or Down market on Polymarket, paid from a pot that the trading fees fill.

The position is about the direction of SOL in that market, not about the price of . When it wins, the profit buys on the open market and burns it. When it loses, only the stake is gone.

There is nothing to post and nothing to sign. Your trade is your call.

How a round is decided

SOL in against SOL out

  • What counts. Every buy and every sell of the coin inside the round. A buy adds its SOL to UP, a sell adds its SOL to DOWN.
  • Size decides. A trade counts by the SOL it moved. A 2 SOL buy pulls twice as hard as a 1 SOL buy. The number of trades and wallets is shown, but it does not decide.
  • Rounds of 5 minutes. A trade belongs to the round in which its block landed. The next round opens the moment the last one locks.
  • Minimum volume. Bought and sold together must reach 0.5 SOL. Under that the round is too quiet to count.
  • Any margin wins. 3.01 SOL bought against 3.00 SOL sold is UP. Exactly even is no position.
  • Stake. 10% of the pot, at least $5 and at most $25. The keeper never pays more than 90¢ a share.
  • No doubling down. If the same side is already open and losing in the same 15 minute market, the keeper does not buy it again.

A round, step by step

Five minutes of pulling

  1. 0:00

The round opens. The rope starts in the middle.

  2. 0:00+

Every buy and sell moves the marker band toward its side. The live round on the home page shows each trade with a link to its transaction.

  3. 5:00

The round locks. The keeper adds up SOL bought and SOL sold.

  4. 5:00+

If the round counts, the keeper buys the heavier side in the running 15 minute market on Polymarket. The stake comes from the pot, $5 to $25 per round.

  5. end

Polymarket settles the market. A winning share pays $1, a losing share pays nothing.

  6. after

The keeper redeems. The stake goes back to the pot, the profit goes to Solana and is burned.

Rounds last 5 minutes and markets 15, so up to three positions can be open at once, sometimes in the same market.

Rounds without a position

When the keeper sits still

Every past round on the home page carries its reason. These are all of them.

  • under 0.5 SOL. Bought and sold together stayed under the minimum. A handful of dust trades should not move the pot.
  • dead even. SOL bought and SOL sold match exactly. No side won, so nothing is bought.
  • pot empty. The pot cannot cover the $5 minimum stake. The round is shown with its side, but it does not trade. The pot refills from fees.
  • side already losing. The keeper already holds the same side in the same 15 minute market, and that position is losing right now. It does not add to it. A winning side, or the other side, can still be bought.
  • order failed. Polymarket did not fill the order, for example because the price moved above 90¢ or the market stopped taking orders. Nothing is spent.
  • no data. The trades of the round could not be read in time. Nothing is bought on a guess.
  • keeper offline. The keeper runs on one computer. When it is off, the live round is greyed out, no positions are placed, and the fees wait in the vault.
Where the fees go

Half to the pot, a fifth to the fire

The coin earns creator fees on every trade on pump.fun, buy or sell. pump.fun fee sharing splits them on chain, before anyone touches them: 70% to the vault and 30% to the dev.

vault 70%dev 30%

The keeper then splits the vault. Counted against the whole fee, that is:

  • Position pot. Sent to Polymarket through its bridge in batches. Pays the stake for each round.50%
  • Buyback and burn. Buys right away and burns it.20%
  • Dev. Set on chain by pump.fun fee sharing.30%

Big trades pay big fees. Anyone who pushes a round with size pays a fee on every trade, and half of it goes into the pot that places the position.

Win, loss, skip

What happens after the lock

WIN

Profit burns

The stake goes back into the pot. The profit is brought to Solana, buys and burns it.

LOSS

Only the stake

The stake is gone, nothing else. The pot keeps the rest and refills from fees.

SKIP

No position

Too little volume, dead even, an empty pot or a side already losing. Nothing is spent.

Launch on tug

Every coin gets a rope

Anyone can launch a coin at thetug.fun/launch: image, name, ticker, one wallet approval. The coin is created on pump.fun like any other and trades everywhere pump.fun coins trade. Its website is its own page on thetug.fun.

On tug it gets the same machine as TUG: its own vault, its own 5 minute rounds with the same rules, its own pot on Polymarket and its own burns.

  • Its pot. Crosses to Polymarket once it holds 0.1 SOL. Pays the stake for its rounds.40%
  • Its burn. Buys the coin back and burns it.20%
  • The creator. The wallet that launched it.25%
  • TUG burn. Buys TUG back and burns it.10%
  • tug. The platform.5%
  • Locked at launch. The split is written into the coin's pump.fun fee sharing in the launch itself, and pump.fun locks it after that one update. A coin whose split does not match is never picked up by the keeper.
  • One vault per coin. Each coin gets a fresh vault from a pool the keeper made. Its fees, pot and burns are booked for that coin only.
  • A pot of its own. All pots sit in the same Polymarket wallet, but every coin has its own share in the books. One coin's loss never touches another coin's pot, or TUG's.
  • No bet before the pot. Until a coin's pot has crossed and holds $5, its rounds are counted and shown, and nothing is bet.
  • Gas. The launch adds 0.003 SOL to the coin's vault so it can pay its first network fees.
  • One approval. The launch, the optional dev buy and the fee split are signed in one wallet popup. If the tab closes before the split is locked, the launch page offers to finish it.
Risks

Read this before you buy

  • Big traders can turn a round. One large buy or sell can outweigh many small ones. That is the design, not a bug: the trade that turns the round pays a fee on its full size, and half of that fee fills the pot.
  • Calls can be wrong, often. A 15 minute market is close to a coin flip. Buying and selling a meme coin says little about where SOL goes next, and the side can lose many times in a row. The pot can shrink.
  • The keeper runs on one computer. If it is offline, crashes or loses its connection, rounds pause and no positions are placed. Bugs can cost the pot.
  • The team holds the keys. The vault and the keeper wallet on Polygon are controlled by the team. A mistake or a stolen key can cost the pot. Every move is on chain so you can check it.
  • The bridge costs. Moving money between Solana and Polygon costs fees and takes time. The pot is sent in batches, and burns from wins can arrive late.
  • Other sites can change. pump.fun and Polymarket can change their rules, their fees or their markets at any time.
  • Local rules. Prediction markets are restricted in some countries. You never trade on Polymarket yourself, but check what applies to you.
  • It is a meme coin. The price can go to zero. Nothing here is financial advice.
Questions

Short answers

Do I connect a wallet on this site?

No. This site only shows data. You take part by trading the coin on pump.fun, from any wallet.

Does a bigger trade count more?

Yes. Trades count by SOL, not by number. A 5 SOL sell outweighs ten 0.4 SOL buys.

Can someone steer a round?

Yes, by trading size in the last seconds. They pay the creator fee on every trade, and half of it goes into the pot. Whoever pulls hardest pays the most into it.

What exactly is the position about?

The direction of SOL in the running Solana 15m Up or Down market on Polymarket. It is not a bet on the price of .

What if hardly anyone trades?

Under 0.5 SOL of volume means no position. The pot waits for the next round.

What does paper mode mean?

While the keeper is tested, it can run in paper mode. The trades are real and the market results are real, but the positions are simulated and no money moves. The site then shows a paper mode badge and a paper pot.

What if the keeper is offline?

The live round shows keeper offline and is greyed out. No positions are placed until it is back. Fees keep collecting in the vault.

Where can I check all of this?

The wallets above, the round history on the home page, every trade in the live round and every burn link to their transactions.
